gorgeous blooms by Platform 322
Lucien and Jamie’s wedding was one of the most interesting, unique and eclectic weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. These two just exuded kindness, fun, and a heaping dose of cool. Held on a friend’s stunning 100 acre farm full of rolling hills and golden meadows, this wedding was a DIY labor of love. All of the hand-lettering was done by Jamie, and the pallet tables, centerpieces, bar and alter were built by the couple with lots of help from friends and family. The couple with their friends and family cleared out a storage barn, and created from it an amazing venue for their party. They carved a ceremony site into a field of wild goldenrod flowers and perhaps most fun of all – the tent scene at the ceremony site was where the couple actually camped after their reception!
The ceremony was officiated by a friend of the couple and instead of a unity candle, the couple poured a black and tan from their favorite beers (complete with a darling “Hoppily Ever After” sign 🙂
And Lucien’s dance with his mother was hands down the best I’ve seen in 10 years – mama can DANCE! All said and done this wedding was simply fabulous!
