Peoria has many beautiful wedding ceremony and reception venues, but it can be daunting beginning your search. Central Illinois is a broad area, how do you know what are the very best wedding venues to narrow down your search?  I’ve been photographing weddings in this area for 13 years and due to that fact, I’ve seen many a venue 🙂  This list contains some of the most beautiful wedding venues Central Illinois area has to offer. From industrial chic to cozy vintage barns and everything in between, these venues are the best of the best. Certainly not a comprehensive list as there are many other lovely spots to wed, but these are some of our favorites from throughout the years.

Venue Chisca

Venue Chisca is a renovated  warehouse in downtown Peoria  and is an absolute STUNNER. Definitely one of our favorites due to its industrial glam appeal and proximity to all the good things Peoria has to offer.view Klay and Kaitlyn’s wedding ceremony and reception at Venue Chisca

The Eureka Cannery

The Cannery is a converted pumpkin cannery, this wedding venue is absolutely amazing. The work that has clearly gone into making this venue beautiful is something to behold and certainly to admire. The owners are so kind and go above and beyond for their couples. The ceremony space is a gorgeous grassed and landscaped courtyard and there are multiple indoor spaces as well as the most beautiful bridal suite I’ve ever seen. Luthy Botanical Garden

Luthy is a classically beautiful garden wedding venue. I’d love to shoot a reception here some day, and a ceremony in one of the shaded private little coves off to the sides of the gardens would be amazing – shade is your friend both photographically and for your summer time skin that’s covered in beautiful wedding clothes 🙂

Camp Wokanda –

I love the laid-back vibe of Camp Wokanda – their outdoor spaces are just gorgeous! It is a perfect for venue for couples with a boho or woodland feel to their weddings and who like to be a bit adventurous during their wedding portraits , certainly perfect for canoeing in your wedding dress!

Pettengill Morron House Peoria IL

This is ideal for the couple looking to incorporate a little Peoria history into their wedding day. The grounds were just beautiful and it was such a peaceful area for an intimate wedding.

Ravina on the Lakes Peoria IL

Ravina has a beautiful screened in reception area looking out over the lake. With room for 300 guests it’s a perfect option for temperate seasons.

Haven on the Farm

I’ve driven past this barn for years and always thought how beautiful it was – finally someone is agreeing! It’s being turned into what is sure to be an AMAZING Peoria area wedding venue – I can’t wait to see what this place becomes and to photograph weddings here!

 

Wildlife Prairie Park  

This one is always a nostalgic favorite of mine as Wildlife was such a part of my childhood and now a place I bring my kiddos. There are lovely wooded areas and beautiful prairies and this shaded ceremony location is just beautiful.

This one always feels so cozy and homey to me – beautiful grounds and building as well.

Metamora Fields

A classically elegant golf course venue!

Ewing Manor in Bloomington, IL

Ewing Manor is truly something special. It’s like stepping back into another time period and reminds me of a romantic chateau in Europe. The front lawn was PERFECT for an outdoor reception, beautifully shaded by large trees and strung with cafe lights, it’s truly perfect.

Hornbaker Gardens Princeton IL

Hornbaker is a bit of a jaunt from Peoria but has been well loved by couple’s as it’s always booked up – the grounds are so pretty as it’s also a nursery and there are many lovely spots to photograph out here.

Epiphany Farms Estate

This is a gorgeous blank slate to work from, a beautiful area where the Epiphany Farms restaurants grow and raise their farm to table produce. It was so fun to see where the food was grown then eat it later in the evening (and it was DELICIOUS!)

Elmore Stock Barn Laura IL

I immediately fell in love with the Elmore Stock Barn upon arriving, it is so cozy and beautifully lit and everything a barn wedding/reception should be – especially wonderful with those wide open barn doors letting lovely light and lovely air flow in

 

Last but certainly not least – our very favorite venue of all…….private family property! We ADORE weddings that take place somewhere personally special to you as a couple and know how much work goes into having a wedding on your family property but it’s always always worth it! So special and beautiful <3
